Open door is a mental health charity based in birkenhead. since 2011, we have provided free, fast and effective mental health support to thousands of young people and adults across merseyside, using a range of innovative and unique programmes that empower people to be mentally well. we have no waiting lists or lengthy referral processes, meaning that our members can access the support they need, at the time they need it the most.
our flagship service bazaar is an eight week peer-support programme, shown to significantly reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression, and is available to anyone between the ages of 14 and 35. by blending elements of cat, mindfulness and more, bazaar gives people the tools to control and combat negative though patterns, and often has powerful, life changing outcomes for our members.
